What I want to be when I grow up...

When Sydney says she wants to be "the Dr. that takes the babies out of the mommies tummies", Caden agrees and wants to be that too.

He also tells me that he wants to work with me when he grows up.

Rain

It was raining on the way to daycare this morning and Caden says to me "look Mommy, the clouds are crying".

Little darling

Caden lifted up my shirt and giggled my tummy and says "mommy your tummy is REALLY big huh?
Its full of lots of food."
Gotta love him.

upside out??

Whenever he is getting dressed and his clothes are inside out he will tell you that they are "upside out". I just love the things he comes out with.

Hatteries

Caden is just fascinated with trains which require large quantities of batteries now know as "hatteries". I just love the little things he comes up with. He corrects you if you say it wrong too.

Huh

He uses this after every sentence now. My bed is nice huh.
Not a question, just a word. Its like eh at the end of sentences in Canada. It sounds so cute.

Teenie butter

Caden could live on spoonfuls of peanut butter and he calls it "teenie butter". So cute. He is just so cuddly and adorable.

Meaner

Caden has decided that we are mean when we get after him for something. He will turn around and tell you that you are a "meaner". He tells his sisters and brother that too if they do something he doesn't like.
He has them all telling us and each other that we are all meaners. Even Bob and I are using it now too.

I love you

Caden has gotten to be such a little sweety lately. He just looks at me and out of the blue says "I love you Mommy!" Just melts my heart he is so cute and so sincere!

Sit here mommy

Caden LOVES attention and wants you to sit right up tight beside him when he watches tv. He will come and grab you by the hand and make you sit on the couch and then crawls up beside you. You then have to put your hand on him and snuggle up really close. If he's already sitting on the couch he will yell your name and pat the couch beside him and say "sit here mommy", "sit down mommy".
He is just such a little sweetie!!! His face just lights up with the attention. He has also started to like his arms to be tickled. He pulls up his sleeves and makes you tickle them.

Crib tent

Caden has not totally destroyed his crib tent. He has ripped holes in it and torn the material so it won't even close. Its collapsed and falling apart. I will have to take it off his crib tonight before he goes to bed.

Antagonizer

Caden is constantly aggravating someone and making them cry.........including big brother Spencer. He will just run over and take a toy or hit someone. I think he's doing it for attention the poor little guy. I find that punishing him and making him sit in the corner is futile. If you give him more attention and sit with him he behaves much better.

Thumb sucker

Caden has started to suck his thumb lately when he gets in trouble. Its so cute as he is certainly not a natural at it like Sydney is. He looks awkward with his thumb in his mouth. He only does it for a few minutes after he gets yelled at and looks so cute. Makes me feel guilty about getting after him too!!

Whatever you want

Caden is like a little mini me for Sydney. He follows her around and does everything she does. He will walk like her and say what she says, its just hilarious. She demands that he does it too if he tries to stop.

Watch this!!!

Caden spends all day doing things and then telling me to "Mommy watch this". He waits to make sure I am watching too. Doesn't have to be anything exciting either. I have to watch him crash his cars, jump down the stairs, throw a ball ect. He is just so proud of himself.

Screaming

Caden has started acting up after nap time. He just SCREAMS and wants to stay in his bed with the door closed.
Even if you let him do that he continues to scream. He gets all upset and when I make him come downstairs he will throw himself on the floor or bang his head on the floor or wall. (Wonder where he got that from....I used to bang my head on the floor when I was little)
I am trying to hold him and give him some extra attention to see if that helps???

Jump

Caden jumped into the pool ALL BY HIMSELF yesterday. He was watching Spencer do it and then wouldn't let me catch him. He went right under for a second (still wearing water wings). He didn't cry, but was not too happy about it. I made a big deal of how he was such a big boy and high fived him. He did NOT want to try it again.
Then today he did it again, but just once! I think we are starting something here.

Little swimmer

Caden all of a sudden got brave in the pool......yesterday. He will let go of you and kick his feet and try to swim. He will even float on his back if you help and thinks its hilarious. He was my timid one so I am glad to see him come around.

Look how tall I am

Sharon and I measured you today and you are 3 feet 3 inches tall.

Talk talk talk

Caden never stops talking now. He has just totally caught up with speech.

Teletubbies

The teletubbies is Caden's favorite show. He just LOVES them. The babies all have stuffed talking teletubbies that they sleep with. Caden opened the back and removed the plastic box with the batteries that makes it talk. He also helped the girls operate on theirs and remove the piece. They then proceeded to bang them against the walls and leave dents and chips everywhere. Needless to say the plastic insert part is put away!!!!
His little face just lights up when he sees them on tv. They all call them "tubby".

"Dirrhea"

Caden was sick and had diarrhea for about 2 weeks. No other symptoms, just pooping. Well now he runs around whenever its time to change someone's diaper trying to open it before I can saying "dirrhea". He also uses it as an excuse when he doesn't want to do something he tells you "poopy diaper" or "dirrhea" thinking you will stop and change his diaper. His little bum was so sore when he was having it that it would hurt when he pooped so he would want it changed immediately.

Favorite song

Caden's favorite song is "Skin-a-marink" by Sharon, Lois and Bram. He wants it "again" and "more" as soon as it finishes. He would listen to it a million times in a row if you let him. He also wants you to do the hand signs for it and dance. He acts it out too, I think his favorite part is blowing the kiss at the end.

Speech

Caden had his first speech session today with Early Childhood Intervention. His therapist Julie came to the house and couldn't believe the change in the week since she has seen him. He just floored her with all his talking. He was saying some 7 and 8 word sentences and she told him that there was one car and he said "two three four five six". I was amazed too.
I guess he just needed time to start. He tells me what the foam letters in the tub are all the time now too.
He just talks all the time now.

Huggy monkey

Caden has started hugging everyone now and kissing them. Took him a while lol. Sydney just thinks is hilarious. He holds on really tight and for close to a minute. Its just so cute!!!!

Repeat after me

Caden has finally started to repeat things when you ask him to. He is just so stubborn he would not say what you wanted him to. I got him to repeat a bunch of words and sign them too. Then he looks at me like I am nuts and says "funny mommy". Little stinker.

NOOO!!!

Caden's new favorite word is "NOOO!!!" He yells it and points and you ALL the time. Its making me crazy. lol

Mommy, where are you?

The cutest little voice at night is Caden saying or should I say singing "Moooommy...........whe aaa yuuu??
He will lay in bed when I put them down for the night and say that a bunch of times. Just makes me smile its so cute!!!!!

All "dumb"

He is so cute the way he says things. He always tells me "all done" when he is. Well it sounds like "all dumb" lately. Just really cute.

Sorry Mommy

Poor little Caden has been sick with rotovirus. He would throw up and then look at me all sad and pathetic and say "sorry Mommy". Broke my heart.
When he was REALLY sick to his stomach in the beginning when the vomitting was almost nonstop he would look at me saying "all done, all done" and then reach for the wet wash cloth. (I would wipe his face with a cold cloth when he really was done.) He would also look at me really sad say "mommy, mommy mommy". Like he was begging me to help him and fix him.
Thankfully he is better now and back to normal. My sweet little baby.

Big hole

Ok, now the hole is big enough for him to fit his body out of and wreak havok on the room. Bob is going to sew it back up to try and contain the little minion....at least for a little while longer.
He is just so proud of himself too.

Bad baby

Caden has now torn another hole in his crib tent. He can reach out and empty the dresser from the front and fight with Sydney from the hole on the side.
He hasn't made it big enough to climb out of yet!!

Mommy, Mommy, Mommy

He has recently started patting me on the arm and calling "mommy, mommy, mommy.........." until I answer. He has to touch me too. They when I answer him he just talks away about something? Wish I could understand what he is saying?

Doors, doors and more doors

Caden has recently had this HUGE fascination with doors. He will not stop opening and closing and slamming them. Its making us crazy!!!!

What???

Caden has just recently stared yelling "what" when you call his name.
